One of Canada’s top clinicians, Jonathan Field, was one of The Horse Expo’s raising stars. As a first time clinician and trainer at the Expo, Jonathan entertained the crowd and had some great training tips for any riding discipline. “My goal as a horseman is to achieve the highest connection possible with horses. I want my horses to be as interested in me as I am in them.” His program “Inspired by Horses” is a step-by-step series designed to help horses and humans with humor and patience. Jonathan talks about the “6 C’s” – you’ll want to know more after watching this footage of him.
Fortunately for us, Jonathan has some training videos and offers clinics throughout the states. www.jonathanfield.net/
With only 90 days to tame “wild to mild” , 30 trainers came to the Horse Expo with their trained Mustangs. They participated in the ultimate reality show – The Mustang Challenge – to display their accomplishments in taking these horses from wild mustangs to horses that are trustworthy and steady. The Mustang Heritage Foundation, in cooperation with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) created this event in order to recognize the value of Mustangs. At the conclusion of the event, each Mustang is available for auction. In this interview you can learn more about this program, how you can participate, make a little money and do a good deed for Mustangs.
