Lukas “The World’s Smartest Horse” is head of the class with Equine VIP. The enormous list of tricks Lukas has learned from his owner, Karen Murdock a retired psychiatric nurse, makes Lukas a true star.

Karen developed her own program of training to help Lukas excel at unusual tricks like spelling, counting, identifying shapes, colors and proportion. Lukas also performs, at liberty, fun tricks like smiling and kissing which made him a popular guest of NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, HLN and now Equine VIP.

Karen hopes Lukas’s message will go beyond the barn by teaching others the happy results of kind training and how smart animals are. Lukas in an ambassador for the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association.

Equine VIP caught up with busy drill team “Painted Ladies” as they practiced for their 4th appearance at the annual Rose Bowl Parade. The parade is viewed by millions of people and these ladies with their stunning paint horses are a spectacular hit with the crowd. The American Paint Horse’s combination of color and confirmation has made the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) the second largest breed registry in the United States. The team has been a crowd favorite at the Folsom Pro Rodeo, BMX Racing, Baseball games and has appeared on the TV show “The Mentalist”
